Senior Power Bi Developer

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Serves as the key expert and resource for the overall Power BI strategy at Bryan Health. Provides the highest level of support for initial and ongoing development / administration of a Microsoft Power BI capability for the enterprise. Uses strong understanding of Power BI to innovate and develop solutions within the software with speed and accuracy. Responsible for building reports / dashboards to serve business needs. Works with a combination of creativity and adaptability with strong expectation management and time management skills. Ensures that deliverables are intuitive for users at every level with the ability to turn abstract needs into tangible solutions. Frequently translates complex data into actionable insights.

10. Assists all leadership and the data analytics department members with assigned and requested business analysis, performance management, and continuous improvement projects.

11. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.

12. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and provide them with solutions.

13. Develops and maintains business intelligence solutions using various tools and technologies.

14. Directs, facilitates, and / or supports continuous improvement initiatives for increasing efficiency, streamlining and standardizing processes, reducing costs, and improving quality.

15. Analyzes data to identify trends, patterns, provide actionable insights to leadership and decision-makers.

16. Optimizes and troubleshoots data and visuals using Performance Analyzer.

17. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

18. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

19. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

1. Significant, demonstrated history of expert knowledge of Power BI Services (Apps and Workspaces), data modeling, data transformations, DAX language, Power Query, data visualization, and solution architecture.

2. Significant, demonstrated history of analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.

3. Significant, demonstrated history in business intelligence development, including data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting / dashboarding.

4. Significant, demonstrated history with access, security, database design principles and best practices.

5. Ability to utilize Microsoft Azure platform and service (Power BI, Flow, Cortana, etc.)

6. Significant, demonstrated history in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.

7. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell Scripting or VBA for automation tasks

8. Ability to effectively interact with clients having a broad range of computer knowledge and ability.

9. Ability to deliver excellent customer service by doing more than just the job while being prompt, courteous and sensitive to the customer.

10. Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and efficiently complete work assignments.

11. Ability to utilize various software programs employing various hardware packages.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field, or specialized training / certification or equivalent work experience. Masters degree preferred. A minimum of five years related work experience with a minimum of three years of Power BI experience required.

WORK HOURS :

Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a requirement of three days per week in office.
