Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, employing both standardized assessments and clinical observations.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at achieving both short-term objectives and long-term goals for communication, cognitive skills, or swallowing difficulties.
  • Implement individualized speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing parameters.
  • Engage in collaborative partnerships with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to ensure comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to bolster therapeutic advancements beyond the clinic.
  • Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in order to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
  • Adhere strictly to documentation requirements as outlined by state, federal, and organizational protocols.

Education

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) necessary for ASHA certification, if applicable.
  • Certifications

  • Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist granted by the state.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
