About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in California!

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity starts on Jan 5, 2026, and spans 45 days, with per diem shifts available from 9am to 9pm as part of a flexible monthly schedule. Candidates should have urgent care and family practice experience, and emergency room background is encouraged.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care services for a diverse patient population
  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, and initiate appropriate treatment
  • Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced setting
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards

    • Additional Information

  • California licensure required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Certifications needed : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Candidates must demonstrate urgent care and family practice experience; ER background is encouraged
