Activities / Responsibilities

• Interacts internally and externally with operations management to report on the performance of the quality within Elgin Sweeper Company.
• Participates with other functional and operational personnel to establish, communicate, and execute business and operational strategies.
• Establishes effective Operational Quality disciplines and methodologies in areas such as Product Qualification / Validation, Process Controls, Non-conforming Material Trending, Quality Systems, Statistical Methods, Supplier Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and Corrective / Preventive Action.
• Assures effective systems, validations, and controls are established and maintained to transition new products and technologies from a development to operational environment.
• Establishes robust, aggressive systems to assure corrective and preventive measures are systematically implemented, monitored, and controlled and meet our ISO 9001 requirements.
• Develops and tracks department metrics, and department objectives.
• Demonstrated and developing leadership competencies; takes initiative with minimal supervision; strong interpersonal skills; team player; proven ability to effectively manage department in a technically complex and fast-paced operational environment.
• Supports and helps guide Lean efforts companywide to ensure waste is reduced.
• Directs shipping department to ensure products are delivered to customers accurately and leaving a good impression upon arrival.
• Performs other duties, assignments, and special projects that may be required from time to time.
