As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Associate in North East, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with visitors and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and support a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate : $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule :

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and / or escorting authorized personnel as needed within the location.
  • Support emergency response activities, including guiding occupants during evacuations and / or coordinating with emergency services if required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
