Paralegal

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Paralegal is responsible for supporting the Legal team with various legal activities related to Johnson Health Tech’s businesses. Duties include acting as a liaison between the Legal team, external third parties, and internal stakeholders to review and respond to various legal matters, reviewing and managing a variety of contracts and other legal documents, and providing support for ad-hoc legal projects.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with preparation, negotiation, execution, and retention of various contracts, including non-disclosure, distribution, and consulting agreements.

· Assist business teams in understanding contract terms and resolving contractual disputes.

· Manage administrative aspects of litigation, including working closely with outside counsel and company employees to collect, preserve, review, and compile necessary information and responses for discovery, implementing litigation holds, and updating litigation trackers.

· Assist with resolving warranty and product liability issues, including working with customer service and quality teams to resolve these issues pre-litigation.

· Assist with preparing and maintaining corporate records and documents.

· Identify and implement resource and process improvements within the Legal team and with stakeholders in other departments.

· Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as a member of the Legal team such as filing documents, scheduling calls with outside counsel, and processing mail.

· Manage projects that arise from time to time within the Legal department and work closely with other support staff.

· Assist with the development of legal training materials and presentations.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and/or certified Paralegal Certificate.

· Three (3) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in litigation and contracting.
