Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $, to $, per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead daily accounting operations including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and month end close.
Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Perform cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis for manufactured products.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support accurate cost tracking and inventory control.
Support audits, government contract compliance, and ERP system improvements to strengthen financial processes.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Lead and mentor accounting or finance teams effectively in a fast paced environment.
Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel tools to support financial modeling and reporting.
Qualifications:
Manage daily accounting operations with strong attention to accuracy and compliance.
Apply cost and inventory accounting expertise in a manufacturing environment.
Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, and cross functional teams to meet regulatory standards.
Adapt to government contract requirements including FAR, DFARS, and CAS guidelines.
