Position Overview : As a critical member of our Operating Room team, the Clinical Nurse II plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to patients and their families. Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform various treatments and procedures, and document care in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions effectively.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' needs and responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed decisions regarding patient care management.
- Provide prompt primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription medicines.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and execute individual Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and mentor ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Active New York State Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required and must be maintained.A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques is beneficial, along with the ability to apply these in support of patient care quality improvement.Thank you for considering a career at Albany Medical Center!
