BTC JOB DESCRIPTION.

JOB TITLE : FRONT DESK STAFF.

DATE : 12 / 13 / 2025.

OVERVIEW : The role of Front Desk Staff is a key position at the BTC. The Front Desk Staff is responsible for assisting members as well as performing regular work duties to ensure the daily operation of the club facilities. The Front Desk Staff must have knowledge of club policies and procedures, have effective and consistent communication with management, and have a positive report with fellow staff. The Front Desk Staff will have daily contact with members and employ appropriate interpersonal skills. Knowledge and the ability to use and maintain equipment, order supplies, and anticipate areas of need is vital. Duties and responsibilities may change at the discretion of the General Manager.

PRIMARY / DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee daily function of the front office.
  • Monitor courts and regulate the two-set light.
  • Assist maintenance staff when needed.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management, including anticipated repairs, etc.
  • Respond to member concerns via email, telephone, and in person.
  • Enforce all club policies and rules on and off courts.
  • Keep clubhouse and deck clean and uncluttered.
  • Regularly check the pool, gym, and locker rooms.
  • Share / communicate maintenance issues.
  • Restock band-aids, ibuprofen, lotion, tissues, and towels in the clubhouse and pool locker rooms.

Closing duties include :

  • Covering the ball machine.
  • Changing the pool code.
  • Locking the gate and doors.
  • Closing all windows.
  • Cover the pool and hot tub as needed.
  • Closing the gym.
  • Checking the locker rooms.
  • Tidying the front office, clubhouse, deck, and heritage room.
  • Relaying all important information to staff members via email, etc.
  • EXPECTATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Required to have basic knowledge of computers.
  • Practice good customer service and foster positive member relations.
  • Present a professional, appropriate appearance.
  • Understand the Staff Handbook. Be punctual and reliable. Communicate all schedule changes, requests for vacation / sick days in compliance with employee policies.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and work in a cooperative and respectful manner with other staff and management.
  • The job requires the ability to sit, stand, kneel, and carry packages.
  • WORK SCHEDULE : 24-30 hours per week.
