Position Summary

The Junior Accountant supports essential accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and general ledger tasks. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn nonprofit accounting and contribute to meaningful community work.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable (A / P) including invoice review, coding, and timely payments
• Assist with payroll processing (Paylocity experience a plus)
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support general ledger updates and basic journal entries
• Assist with month-end close
• Participate in audits, financial reviews, and reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting inquiries
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
