The present company was formed in 1959 when the Magnethermic Corporation acquired the assets of Ajax Electrothermic Corp. combining their expertise and capabilities.

Job Duties

• Plan and execute assembly procedures using drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Erect and assemble large machinery with precision and care.
• Finish align, shim, and dowel components as necessary.
• Set wheels and assemble pump brackets; check and adjust alignments and clearances.
• Attach and connect hydraulic, air, coolant, and other tube lines.
• Install gauges and controls.
• Select couplings, file and fit keys to shafts and couplings.
• Assemble driving and driven units; align and set bearings and bearing blocks.
• Set, align, and adjust gear drives and boxes.
• Fit, align, and adjust machining heads, tables, and other equipment.
• Set up complete machines for testing; make necessary adjustments for proper operation.
• Disassemble units after testing; perform repairs, replacements, or adjustments.
• Detect and report defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform both foreign and domestic field service work as required.
