Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of strap, stretch, and protective packaging consumables, as well as tools and equipment, in Bridgeview, IL. They are currently hiring an Assembler.This is a temp-to-perm position! The hours are 11am- 11pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays as neededPay will start at $19.10 / hour.What will you do :

  • Assists in removing coils from a rewinder reel using coil carriers and transports coils from the rewinders to a conveyor system.
  • Visually inspects coils during the process for obvious defects or markings, not consistent with our quality objectives.
  • Transfer spools containing slit steel strapping to the welding position.
  • Assist in correcting production delays and product size changeovers.
  • Other duties as required

What you must have :

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ability to perform basic math skills, including, but not limited to : Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication
  • Ability to effectively read and use hand tools and a tape measure
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Must comply with pre-employment background and drug screenings
  • Must have reliable transportation
