As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a talented team in designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in a multi-tenant cloud environment. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of management or team lead experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed services
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals
• Strong understanding of data models and distributed persistence technologies
• Thorough understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
• Experience in infrastructure as code platforms like Terraform will be a plus
• Experience building and managing public cloud services
• Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
• Design, build, and deliver large-scale, distributed, and highly available cloud infrastructure systems from the ground up.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritize work, and drive timely project delivery.
• Apply deep technical expertise to solve complex problems, perform troubleshooting, and optimize system performance.
• Champion professional software engineering best practices, including code reviews, continuous integration/deployment, and robust testing.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, retention, and career development for team members, providing coaching and growth opportunities.
• Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to elevate product capabilities and scalability.
• Ensure adherence to the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols throughout software development and operations.
• Support a dynamic and agile work environment, delivering results in a fast-paced and evolving setting.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
