Overview
Prismecs is seeking an experienced O&M Shift Manager (SM) to oversee safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations during assigned shifts. The SM monitors control room systems, leads shift activities, coordinates inspections, and ensures adherence to operational procedures, OEM guidelines, and HSE standards. This position reports to the Team Leader and works closely with HSE and plant management to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in Prismecs HSE programs and enforce safety procedures.
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in power plant operations.
- Monitor CCTV for abnormalities, alarms, or security concerns.
- Monitor GT and BOP screens; respond to alarms and operating conditions.
- Operate SCADA, protection, and control systems per procedures and Power Agreement requirements.
- Execute preventive inspections and routine operational rounds.
- Perform fuel truck offloading in accordance with procedures and safety standards.
- Support general facility maintenance tasks during shift operations.
- Provide prompt communication and reporting of incidents, accidents, equipment failures, or compliance issues.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain CCR in clean, ready-for-operation condition at every shift handover.
- Ensure correct use and care of tools and auxiliary equipment.
- Support implementation of productivity, quality, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Provide training to team members when assigned.
- Perform additional operational tasks as instructed by the Shift Supervisor.

Proven experience operating power plant equipment in accordance with OEM manuals and operational procedures.Strong understanding of GT and BOP systems and ability to respond to abnormal conditions.Experience operating SCADA, protection, and control systems.Ability to perform routine inspections, reporting, documentation, and shift logs.Experience working in 24 / 7 rotational shift environments.Ability to manage CCR housekeeping and maintain operational readiness.Strong communication skills for incident reporting and shift coordination.Ability to follow structured procedures, safety rules, and quality standards.Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize under operational pressure.Ability to collaborate with HSE teams and support compliance initiatives.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).Minimum 3 years experience in operation of similar power plants.Minimum 3 years experience working with TM2500+ Generation 8 gas turbines .English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).Experience preparing shift reports and operational logs.Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.General HSE knowledge.Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 (preferred).Behavioral Attributes
