Title : Systems Engineer II

Duration : 11 months

Location : Bellevue, WA (Hybrid)

The successful engineer in this role will :

  • Design and optimize AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and ECS-based systems for auction and liquidation workflows
  • Drive automation solutions to resolve operational bottlenecks and reduce our 3-5 day average ticket resolution time
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for distributed AWS services
  • Lead compliance remediation efforts including TA Token migration across 24 applications
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS CDK / CloudFormation for pipeline migrations
  • Create operational runbooks and automation to improve team efficiency and reduce manual toil
  • Build observability solutions using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and custom metrics for performance optimization
  • Implement security best practices across our AWS infrastructure and application stack

Core Requirements :

  • 3+ years experience with AWS services (Step Functions, Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS / SNS)
  • Strong proficiency in Python / Java with focus on serverless and containerized applications
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Proven track record in operational excellence, monitoring, and incident response
  • Strong system design skills for distributed, event-driven architectures
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database optimization
  • Understanding of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks
