Job Title : Graduate Advisor

Reports To :  Dean of Graduate School

FSLA :   Exempt

Salary :   $38,000 - $42,000

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

The Graduate Advisor is responsible for reviewing transfer work, providing academic advice, and assisting incoming students with enrollment for the current semester

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following :

• Understands all ECU degree requirements
• Understands all ECU program articulations
• Admits students to Graduate Program
• Compiles advising files for each student assigned
• Develops a degree plan for student
• Provides academic advice and helps students enroll in recommended courses
• Performs degree auditing and graduation processing
• Helps with Graduate Commencement
• Travels for necessary training

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Preferred : Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with appropriate experience in the field of academic advising highly desired.
