Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher is needed for an elementary school setting in Gresham, OR. This position is for the uping school year and is on a contract basis. The role focuses on delivering specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs within an elementary school environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student requirements
  • Provide targeted instruction to support academic and social growth of students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning experiences
  • Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet student goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ply with all applicable regulations and policies related to special education

Desired Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching certification in special education
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education capacity
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and use evidence-based teaching methods
  • Understanding of federal and state special education laws and guidelines
