Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Credit Officer to oversee credit risk activities within its Commercial Real Estate (CRE) portfolio. The role is responsible for managing a team of 4–6 underwriters and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of CRE credit decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and evaluate a team of CRE underwriters.
- Review, approve, and monitor CRE credit transactions within assigned authority levels.
- Ensure underwriting quality aligns with bank credit policy, regulatory expectations, and risk appetite.
- Provide guidance on deal structure, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Relationship Managers and senior leadership on complex transactions.
- Monitor portfolio trends and identify emerging risks within the CRE segment.
- Maintain timely workflow management and support credit process improvements.
