Position Responsibilities may include :
- Review recent incidents and emergency response actions.
- Review and participate in worksite inspections / audits and implement improvements if needed.
- Review results of occupational accidents and incidents resulting in injuries, illnesses or exposure or hazardous materials. Make suggestions to management for the prevention of future incidents.
- Recommend new safety policies and procedures.
- Ambassador shall review employee safety suggestions. Members shall submit recommendations to assist management in suggestion evaluation.
- Help Maintain 5S in assigned areas.
- Promote Health and Safety engagement campaigns.
- Support safety efforts of designated H&S leadership.
- Will be designated rescuer for Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) incidents.
- Will train and provide guidance for employees regarding any safety related matters.
- Perform additional duties as instructed.
Nature and Scope :
Works within well-defined instructionsThe Safety Ambassador role is a means of communication between employees and management on matters of safety and health. Uses established procedures and works in a designated location under immediate supervision to perform assigned tasks.Knowledge and Skills :

2 plus years of manufacturing experience preferably within a high-volume environmentPowered industrial truck experience is a plusEducation :
High School diploma or GED requiredSome College or equivalent work experience preferredPhysical Requirements / Working Environment :
