Description & Details : The Department of Sociology and Anthropology seeks a Cultural Anthropology Lecturer to begin in Fall 2026. We seek a cultural anthropologist who is ethnographically grounded, works in the area of medical anthropology, and can support the teaching goals of the Anthropology Program and department more generally. The successful candidate will be required to teach seven classes a year (4 / 3 teaching load) with advising responsibilities. This would break down to 80% teaching and 20% advising and engaged learning.
In addition, the position will require the Lecturer to support engaged learning and advising. Specifically, the successful candidate will help administer the experiential learning requirement that is part of the major's required coursework. In addition, they will advise undergraduate students (generally assigned 5-8 students). In addition, the candidate must work effectively with colleagues and students in an interdisciplinary setting.
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and / or certification and other business considerations.
