The Colorectal Surgery and Urology unit is a dynamic med-surg environment with 22 beds where you will care for a diverse range of surgical abdominal, surgical urologic, and general medical / surgical patients. We welcome new graduates to apply!

As a Registered Professional Nurse on our team, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the care needs of assigned patients throughout their care episodes, with an emphasis on facilitating a smooth transition to discharge. Your role will be central in ensuring that competent and compassionate patient care is delivered uniformly, catering to the needs of patients, their families, and our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities Include :

• Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests while documenting everything according to company policy and local / state / federal regulations.
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to effectively assess patients' conditions.
• Assessing and addressing patient needs and responses to the care provided.
• Utilizing sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Providing both primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as per orders.
• Collaborating with the nursing team to develop and implement comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guiding and directing ancillary personnel while maintaining the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications :

This position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week from 7pm to 7 : 30am. We encourage new graduates to submit their applications!
