Key Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle design of custom optical sensor products to customer specifications, leveraging advanced thin film technologies
  • Work on a cross-functional hands‑on engineering team integrated with on‑site manufacturing
  • Collaborate within a cleanroom‑like, high‑tech lab / manufacturing setting
  • Utilize industry‑standard thin film design and modeling software

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in thin film design (not just coatings or battery film / process backgrounds); 10+ yrs a plus

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any engineering discipline

  • Hands‑on experience with thin film design software : Filmstar, Optilayer, TF Calc, McLeod (older, but valued)
  • Preferred industry backgrounds : defense, aerospace, medical devices
  • Experience with PVD and complex, multilayer substrates (must‑have); CVD is a plus
