Security Police Officer

Are you ready to step into a role that combines security, law enforcement, and community service? Join Chenega Corporation and NASA as a Security Police Officer in Cleveland, OH! In this dynamic armed position, you'll be the first line of defense, ensuring the safety and security of our facility. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence.

All positions begin as part-time with the option to bid on a full-time position when one becomes available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first response to emergencies, including medical incidents.
  • Carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
  • Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.
  • Enforce federal and assimilated state laws, conduct mobile patrols, inspections, and searches.
  • Perform traffic enforcement and investigations, initiate arrests, and transport individuals.
  • Guard NASA-owned or leased buildings and property, protect equipment and materials, and control access.
  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, and perform package and parcel inspections.
  • As a critical position will be required to report and remain available for emergency duty in expectation of a disaster or declared emergency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a diploma or certificate as a graduate of a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency; or military services recognized basic law enforcement or physical security training academy preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours such as weekends or holidays if needed.
  • CPR / BLS certification.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Preferred : 1 year of military or law enforcement experience, and a diploma or certificate from a recognized law enforcement or physical security training academy.

    • Estimated Salary / Wage : USD $24.16 / Hr.
