In this dynamic armed position, you'll be the first line of defense, ensuring the safety and security of our facility. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence.

All positions begin as part-time with the option to bid on a full-time position when one becomes available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first response to emergencies, including medical incidents.
  • Carry out general and special orders for post assigned.
  • Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.
  • Enforce federal and assimilated state laws, conduct mobile patrols, inspections, and searches.
  • Perform traffic enforcement and investigations, initiate arrests, and transport individuals.
  • Guard NASA-owned or leased buildings and property, protect equipment and materials, and control access.
  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, and perform package and parcel inspections.
  • As a critical position will be required to report and remain available for emergency duty in expectation of a disaster or declared emergency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a diploma or certificate as a graduate of a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency; or military services recognized basic law enforcement or physical security training academy preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours such as weekends or holidays if needed.
  • CPR / BLS certification.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Preferred : 1 year of military or law enforcement experience, and a diploma or certificate from a recognized law enforcement or physical security training academy.

    • Estimated Salary / Wage : USD $24.16 / Hr.
