Licensed Practical Nurse - Family Medicine

General Summary :

The Family Medicine Center Licensed Practical Nurse plays a vital role in patient care, including intake processing, phlebotomy, and EKGs, along with providing simple treatments as directed by our professional staff. We require AHA-BLS certification, which can be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications :

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
• AHA-BLS certification is needed within 6 months of hire or a valid non-AHA-BLS card will be accepted until renewal.
• Preferred two (2) years of medical office or primary care experience, with one (1) to three (3) years at our Family Medicine Center.
• 1-2 years of medical / surgical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Must meet physical and pre-placement screening requirements.
• Embody and uphold our CVPH culture.
• Stay current with all CVPH organizational requirements (e-learning, health assessments, and annual training).
