The Position :

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Network and Computer Systems Administrator (IADS)-Journeyman. The salary range of this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

A typical day as a Network and Computer Systems Administrator (IADS)-Journeyman may include :

• Installs configures and maintains an organizations local area network (LAN) data communications network operating systems and physical / virtual servers
• Performs system monitoring
• Verifies the integrity / availability of hardware network and server resources / systems
• Reviews system and application logs
• Verifies completion of scheduled jobs including system backups
• Analyzes network and server resource consumption and controls user access
• Installs / Upgrades software and maintains software licenses
• Assists in network emulation / virtualization analysis planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software

Physical Environment and Working Conditions :

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to support various labs at PAX River for a majority of their day. The physical environment also requires the employee to work in an office sitting in a cubicle or at a desk looking at a computer for part of the day.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices / conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions overnight travel may be required.
