Candidates
- Must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- EIT certification is preferred, but not required
- Experience in designing, preparing and processing land development applications required
- Experience in designing, preparing and processing land development applications in Northern Virginia jurisdictions is preferred, but not required
- Candidates must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on their knowledge of civil engineering concepts and locality requirements
- Contributes to the preparation of full sets of construction plans
- Ensure the quality of all work completed
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
Typical Duties Will Include
Creation of CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plansSite Layout and utility designHorizontal and vertical design of roadwaysPreparation of erosion and sediment control plansGenerating hydrologic computations for SWM facilitiesPerforming pavement design computationsPerforming site distance analysisPreparing site work quantity take-offs.Coordination with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.Urban's Most Important Asset Is Our People, As Our People Make Our Clients' Visions A Reality
