Application Developer (Hybrid – Kansas / Missouri)
Work Schedule
Monday – Thursday
7 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 30 p.m. CST or
6 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. CST
Additional hours as required
Hybrid role : Combination of remote and onsite work
Candidates working remotely must already reside in Kansas or Missouri
No relocation.
Position Summary
SnapIT Solutions is seeking a motivated Application Developer to support a large-scale utility client’s digital solutions initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering technology solutions that directly impact critical infrastructure and community services.
This role supports mission-critical generation and nuclear application systems , working within a highly regulated environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications while ensuring compliance with strict security and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in analysis, development, coding, and testing of application changes to resolve issues and deliver new business functionality.
Collaborate with business users, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs and test plans.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define and maintain system architecture and interface standards .
Ensure seamless integration and alignment with existing IT systems and enterprise environments.
Design solutions with consideration for business goals, IT standards, SLAs, and budget constraints .
Manage defect resolution , application performance issues, and ongoing system support.
Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory security requirements , including :
NERC
SOX
10 CFR 810
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field , or equivalent relevant experience
2–4 years of professional IT or application development experience

Basic familiarity with :
Windows 11
Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of :
Agile methodologies
Tools such as ServiceNow and / or Jira
Source control systems and best practices
Reporting and analytics tools (Power BI)
Web services and API / REST development
Technical Proficiency
Relational Databases – minimum 2 years
Oracle PL / SQL, SQL
React, HTML
Automic (UC4), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), GoAnywhere
Maximo (development or API integration experience preferred)
