A Typical Day...

As a Remote Tax Professional at H&R Block, you will help clients make informed decisions about their finances while building lasting relationships. You will serve clients with diverse tax needs and benefit from advanced tax training and support from an expert team.

It would be even better if you also had...

  • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
  • Experience completing complex tax returns
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax
  • Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
  • Tax planning and audit support experience
  • Sales and / or marketing experience

What you'll bring to the team...

  • Conduct tax interviews and support online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email)
  • Generate business growth and increase client retention
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with leaders and peers
  • Grow your tax expertise

    • Your Expertise

  • Experience completing individual tax returns
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Access to high-speed internet
  • Skilled in technology (MS Teams, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate complex tax situations clearly
  • Effective customer service techniques
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must meet continuing education and IRS requirements
  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season
  • Ability to research tax information using IRS publications
