What We Need:

The Black Information Network is seeking experienced anchors/reporters to provide coverage of sports at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). This role is ideal for a journalist who understands the culture and competitive significance of HBCU sports and can deliver compelling, high quality content to a national audience. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who bring strong reporting skills and commitment to inclusive storytelling.

What You'll Do:

• Anchor HBCU sportscasts for multiple markets.

• Write clear, concise sports copy.

• Produce, edit and write content for BIN News.

• Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.

• Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.

• May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.

What You'll Need:

• Familiarity with HBCU sports divisions, rivalries and culture.

• Extensive on-air background.

• Proficient in media production and broadcast systems.

• Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• 2+ years’ experience in on-air journalism/sports reporting.

Compensation:

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
