Job Details

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our outpatient hematology / oncology team. This role involves direct patient care, telephone triage, and coordination of services to support patients across the care continuum. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

What You’ll Do

Administer injections, vaccines, and infusion pump disconnects as ordered.

Triage incoming calls from patients, families, and referring providers, assessing acuity and directing care appropriately.

Conduct follow-up calls, manage prescription refill requests, and coordinate home care referrals.

Perform pre-visit chart reviews and post-visit documentation to support provider workflow.

Assist with in-office procedures such as EKGs, PFTs, and minor surgical support.

Conduct Nurse-Only visits for routine care such as blood pressure checks, immunizations, and patient education.

Review lab and imaging results, notify providers of critical values, and document findings in the EMR.

Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure seamless care delivery and patient satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

Current RN license in Massachusetts and BLS certification.

Bio / chemo certification and ONS chemotherapy provider card required (or willingness to obtain within 2 years).

Nursing degree (ASN or BSN preferred); BSN required within 4 years of hire.

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; 2+ years preferred in adult ambulatory care, hematology / oncology, or emergency medicine.

Strong clinical assessment skills, including port access and IV insertion.

Experience with wound care, drains, and assisting with procedures preferred.

Proficiency in EMR systems and documentation.

Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills
