Radiology Tech (Partial-PT) | Urgent Care | North Ames | (Weekend package)

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Radiology Tech for its North Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: performing diagnostic general radiology following prescribed safety standards in operating imaging equipment, consults physicians/radiologists as necessary, examines images for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness, and performs general radiologic procedures as required, instructs patients regarding procedures. Observes patient for vital signs during examination, follows prescribed safety standards in operating imaging equipment, uses radiation protection according to department policy and procedures, selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis, examines radiologic image for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness, delivers diagnostic images to radiologists for reading/interpretation, demonstrates competency in general radiology.

Education

• Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Certification/License

• Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Iowa State permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Current BCLS certification.

Days: 3 out of 4 weekends. Rotating holidays

Hours: Saturday and Sunday 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM. Holidays 9 AM - 3 PM.

$2.50/per hour pay differential when working Saturday and/or Sunday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday ask for details.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology imaging modalities and demonstrated proficiency in all areas of general x-rays.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
