Materials Management I-1

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : Duties include but are not limited to :

• Picks packs stages issues returns delivers and ships tools and materials in accordance with established procedures (includes calibrated tools weld wire quality structural shapes and cable).
• Performs transactions related to inventory of tools and materials including cycle counting.
• Receives inspects returns and puts away tools equipment materials and supplies in accordance with established receiving procedures. Where applicable takes samples of received material requiring tests and forwards to laboratory.
• Prepares and stages material for scrap or salvage as directed.
• Creates catalog identification tags for parts and materials.
• Utilizes radio-frequency handheld devices computers and automated inventory warehousing devices as required in performance of their duties.
• Operates common hand and power tools.
• Operates forklift and other material handling equipment i.e. pallet jack and power carts platform trucks skid steers and auxiliary mounted equipment to transport tools materials and equipment.
• Loads and unloads vehicles. Signs for material as required.
• Performs material handling activities including routine local errands related to Logistics functions and miscellaneous yard and warehouse clean-up activities.
• Accepts and inspects materials returned or removed from service.
• Performs basic rigging.
• Operates vehicles to including acquiring a CDL Class B License with tanker and hazmat endorsements to operate fuel trucks.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
