Job Description

Aurora Material Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician who will play a crucial role in maintaining our standards of quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. If you are analytical, safety-focused, and eager to help drive continuous improvement, we’d like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities :

Testing & Inspection :

Conduct visual and physical inspections of incoming raw materials and production samples according to established quality procedures.
Operate laboratory equipment and injection molding machines to verify product compliance with customer requirements.
Troubleshoot basic molding issues to support optimal production results.
Perform color matching for in-process products.

Documentation & Data Management :

Accurately enter, review, and maintain test results in the IQMS system and Excel spreadsheets.

Assist in quality audits by reviewing and finalizing documentation.

Track and analyze quality and production data, supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Material Handling & Preparation :

Weigh pigments and blend materials to precise specifications.

Respond to sourcing questions related to new materials as needed.

Collaboration :

Communicate findings clearly to production teams and raise any quality or process concerns.

Work closely with team members across departments to maintain high quality standards.

Lab Organization & Safety :

Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and fully in compliance with all safety guidelines.

Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or GED required; college-level math or science coursework is a plus.

Experience with MS Excel; familiarity with IQMS or similar systems preferred.

Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving ability.

Willingness to work in a busy manufacturing environment with temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and moving equipment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, distinguish color, and use computer equipment.

Dependable attendance, collaborative spirit, and a commitment to quality and safety.
