Key Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, audit readiness, and treasury management.
Ensure continuity and stability during a leadership transition.
Prepare for and manage the year-end audit (fiscal year starts October 1).
Provide strategic oversight and foster a collaborative, steady pace—no major operational overhauls.
Engage with board members and external audit partners.
Identify and implement process automation and technology improvements at a sustainable pace.
Key Prerequisites
CPA or CFP required; MBA or Master’s in Accounting / Finance preferred.
Proven leadership of accounting / finance teams (6+ direct reports ideal).
Experience with nonprofit financials (audit / tax exposure or board / volunteer experience welcome).
Strong treasury management and audit preparation skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial information to executive and board audiences.
Flexible, collaborative mindset; comfort working with a stable, tenured team.
Experience with process automation and financial systems / technology.
Bonus : Blend of nonprofit and corporate experience.
