Schedule Details :
$10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE with distance based relocation available and $2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE for Evening Shifts at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center.

Schedule / Hours : Full-time, evening shifts of 8 or 10 hours, Monday to Friday with on-call duties mainly during the night, including an average of (5-8) overnight call slots and (1-2) weekend call slots within an 8-week schedule. On-call hours may vary, requiring you to return within 30 minutes when called.
Major Responsibilities :
Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for optimal patient care, using aseptic techniques and assisting in various surgical procedures.Ensure room readiness for surgical procedures by setting up equipment and materials safely and efficiently.Function as a Second Assistant when necessary, providing support to the surgical team.Communicate any equipment or supply issues promptly.Engage in patient transport and positioning while complying with safety protocols.Maintain specialty carts and items, ensuring they are well-stocked and functional.Fulfill patient care duties appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge and consideration for their specific needs.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
BLS certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within six months of hiring unless otherwise determined.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.Experience Required :
No prior experience is necessary.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.Must be able to lift and carry specified weights as required for patient and equipment care.Frequent exposure to operational hazards including mechanical, electrical, and biohazard risks.Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves.This description provides a general overview of the role and is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
