Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Manager, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The Manager, HRIS leads the daily operations of the university's HR information system and supervises a team of HRIS Specialists. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of HR data and delivers meaningful reporting and analysis. A central focus of this role is the development and management of dashboards and analytics tools that support data-informed decision-making. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain complex queries to support data analysis, compliance reporting, and leadership decision-making.
  • Oversee the design and development of dashboards for HR and executive leadership.
  • Supervise and develop HRIS Specialists, ensuring effective support and collaboration across HR functions. Assist with data entry duties as necessary, partnering with the team to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines.
  • Management of Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance to include time tracking, communication, reporting and other duties and responsibilities related to this function. Develop, analyze, and manage data and reporting for Affirmative Action Plans, including statistical metrics and compliance-related documentation.
  • Perform data validation and updates to ensure accuracy prior to processing faculty contracts. Generate faculty contract addendums and staff salary letters.
  • Participate in system upgrade user acceptance testing. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proven ability to design and manage complex reports.
  • Ability to develop dashboards using platforms such as Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel including vLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in HRIS systems, ideally PeopleSoft or Workday, and dashboard creation, ideally with PowerBI.
