Finley Industrial Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to lead and optimize operations across our Corona and Murrieta locations and active field projects throughout Southern California. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing field project execution, and ensuring safe, complaint, and efficient execution of our waste management services.

This position is based out of the Murrieta office, with an expectation of working on-site 2–3 days per week and requires regular weekly travel throughout Southern California to visit field projects, customer sites, and operational locations as needed. The ideal candidate is a visible, engaged leader who can balance office-based operational planning with active field oversight.

This is a full-time, exempt position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional non-standard hours based on operational needs. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage field project operations from planning through execution, ensuring projects are staffed appropriately, completed safely, and aligned with company standards and customer expectations.
• Direct daily field and transportation operations, ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Plan and oversee the transportation of waste from point of origin to disposal facilities.
• Improve operational workflows and systems to enhance service delivery and support long-term growth.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and accounting to align operations with customer expectations and internal processes.
• Address and resolve customer concerns, ensuring high-quality service.
• Maintain records for vehicle usage, order fulfillment, and scheduling.
• Analyze transportation costs and implement efficient strategies.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, DTSC, and company safety standards.
• Manage fleet and equipment maintenance schedules to ensure readiness and availability.
• Investigate and report safety incidents and equipment failures.
• Conduct internal safety audits, assist with external inspections, and permits.
• Lead and reinforce training on equipment use, safety procedures, and operational best practices.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position manages multiple employees across field and office roles, including drivers, field managers, and administrative support staff.
