Job Title : Oracle DBA

Job Type : Contract

Job Location : Tallahassee, FL (On-Site)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Installing and maintaining Oracle database software.
  • Identifying and testing database software updates, patches, and Oracle service packs.
  • Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
  • Setting up database user accounts.
  • Implementing backup and recovery plans to protect that database against data loss and reconstruct the data if loss occurs.
  • Participating in design and planning of database and related database objects.
  • Minimizing database downtime and managing parameters to provide fast query responses
  • Developing automation scripts for routine tasks
  • Performing tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
  • Maintaining database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
  • Writing technical procedures and documents.

Required Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of experience as a database admin
  • 3+ years of experience testing database software updates
  • 3+ years of experience implementing backup and recovery plans
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to business users

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience as a database admin with Oracle, PL / SQL and Data Governance
  • 3+ years of experience with Data Warehousing + ETL Processing
  • 3+ years of experience with Data Modeling + Data Migration
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to business users
