Director Of Service Line Development
The primary responsibility of the Director of Service Line Development is to support the strategic priorities of Piedmont Atlanta through service line planning and development. This includes managing large-scale projects and project teams, business planning and development, and financial modeling of key service lines and other system strategic imperatives. The position is also responsible for optimizing patient throughput and maintaining standards of practice for service delivery.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead cross functional teams comprised of health system leadership, physicians and other stakeholders to develop and manage large scale strategic and financial planning initiatives for service lines
- In collaboration with CFO, facilitate PAH overall strategic growth plan including but not limited to : bed planning, campus backfill, and future strategic growth of service lines.
- Work specifically with Neurosciences, Orthopedic Services, Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery, and Sleep Services on projects that include but are not limited to : partnering with leadership for development of large scale Neuroscience project plan and implementation, support Orthopedic service line initiatives, coordination of Bariatric Surgery strategic plan and implementation, support General Surgery initiatives, coordination of Sleep Services strategic plan and implementation.
- Liaise between PAH and Physician Enterprise to drive short and long-term performance as outlined in approved proforma initiatives and facilitate critical communication on any impact to hospital volumes.
- Provide direct support to the CEO / COO at Piedmont Atlanta for all special projects as assigned
- Represent the CEO / COO at Piedmont Atlanta and Service Line leaders as needed in key meetings or project activities
- Assist and guide service line leadership in developing annual business plans and operating budgets, assists in strategic planning and implementation plans pertaining to throughput, length of stay, optimization bed utilization and patient safety.
- Integrate with finance to complete service line data collection and financial reporting
- Interface with health system finance, decision support and business development resources to build plans around system strategic initiatives

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital or Business Administration.
Minimum experience required :
Five (5) years of experience in healthcare, project management, or finance.Project management and / or management consulting experience with large scale projects.Experience working with and presenting to executive leaders and collaborating with physician team to develop strategic vision and program plans.Ability to translate vision and concepts into actionable business plans and implement the plan to reach targeted results.Working knowledge of healthcare financials, analytical tools and the ability to both perform analyses independently and / or oversee analysts in performing work.Minimum licensure / certification required by law :

Master's degree is preferred.
