Stephens College invites applications for a permanent, full-time, non-tenure track position in Biology in the School of Health Sciences.

The ideal candidate will develop and teach innovative, engaging, student-centered courses for biology, health science, and nursing majors in two or more of the following areas : introductory biology; anatomy & physiology; cell and molecular biology; vertebrate biology; evolution and ecology; conservation and environmental science.

Preference will be given to candidates with a plan to engage undergraduate students in their research program, who have mentored students completing research projects, and / or who are dedicated to experiential learning.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to an expanding set of opportunities for collaborative and undergraduate research in a small college setting, including the new WiSR (Women in STEM Research) Program. The specific area of research is open.

Job Duties :

• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in biology.
• Academic advising for undergraduate students.
• Develop and pursue a research program with undergraduate students.
• Provide service to the college and profession.
• Assist in development of curricula and programs within the School of Health Sciences.
