Job Description

Assistant of Excellence

(21 st Century Community Learning Centers)

Responsible to : Site Director of Extended School Program

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be eighteen years old or a senior in high school
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical examination with controlled substance

testing and random tests for controlled substances and alcohol, fingerprints and

background checks

  • Prefer prior experience working with children

    • General Requirements :

  • Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest

    • standards of public education and in support of the Program's Vision / Mission

    Statements

  • Maintains ethical standards, which include professionalism and the protection of

    • confidential student and staff information

  • Projects a positive image of the Coffee County School System at all times
  • Monitors and maintains the safety of all children at the Excellence site
  • Other responsibilities and / or duties may be required and assigned

    • Essential Responsibilities :

  • Supervision of students
  • Maintain a safe and fun environment for attendees
  • Assist the site director in all capacities
  • Assist students with homework daily
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games
  • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity area
  • Assist with snacks and full day food prep
  • Prepare and assist with craft activities
  • Monitor children on field trips
  • Clean and maintain sanitary conditions at the site
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Excellence Site Director
