N Street Village

Program Associate (Part-Time)

  • ???? Location : Washington, DC (Flagship; In-person)
  • ???? Schedule : Saturday and Sunday (8-hour shifts) 7am-4pm will be determined by hiring manager so flexibility is highly encouraged
  • ???? Hourly Rate : $21.00hr-$22.50hr based on experience???? Status : Part-Time, Non-Exempt

What You’ll Do :

  • Build positive rapport with clients through routine contact
  • Assist with program setup and closing (meals, toiletries, laundry, cleaning)
  • Serve meals and conduct intake and wellness screenings
  • Respond to client needs, de-escalate crises, resolve conflicts, and enforce program rules
  • Complete documentation (activity sheets, reports, incident reports)
  • Support care coordination tasks (referrals, residency forms)
  • Collaborate with volunteers and partner agencies
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities

    • What We’re Looking For :

    Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of social services experience, OR
  • HS Diploma / equivalent + 2 years of social services experience, OR
  • HS Diploma / equivalent + 5 years of work experience

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with vulnerable populations, addiction, and mental illness
  • Familiarity with DC Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
  • Knowledge of homelessness-related issues and trauma-informed care
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion

    • Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong cultural competence and communication skills
  • Crisis management and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
