Job Description

Manage all import/export shipping activities, set, and execute service levels for inbound and outbound shipments, focus on customer satisfaction and meeting on time delivery expectations.

Oversee and manage stockroom activities as it relates to production orders, cycle counts, and areas of 6S and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, customer service, and cost savings.

Manage the logistics team and coordinate scheduling and workloads, focus on cross-training initiatives to offer support for the site.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Monitor inventory levels and adjust ordering and storage accordingly.

Track order fulfillment and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Participate in cross-functional teams devoted to efficiency, cost-reduction, inventory reduction, inventory turns, and quality.

Responsible for reporting KPI metrics to the site and identifying key opportunities to improve and align with the Microchip logistics processes.

Requirements/Qualifications

AS degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Five years' industry experience.

Working knowledge of ERP software.

International and freight forwarding shipping experience. Has a familiarity with Export regulations and has had Dangerous goods certification or is willing to get certified.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills.

Working knowledge of FDA and other regulatory agency import/export regulations.

Knowledge of inventory control practices, including demonstrated knowledge of Lean/Sigma, JIT methodologies and/or supply chain management.

Proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Knowledge of ESD material guidelines.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $46,000 - $128,000.* Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
