Most days there will be little to no rounding as private attendings see their own patients. Possibly 1-2 patients on mother-baby. and whatever is on the labor floor (Average daily 2-3 patients to round on). Expected to see all triage patients on labor and delivery. Expected to be a resource for Family Practice residents as needed. May be called for a consult to the med-surgical or Emergency departments. How many calls do they get while on call? Varies but not a large number of calls. every now and then a consult from the ED or floor. Most shifts calls would be from the labor floor nursing staff as needed.
