Position Summary :
Contributes to the successful achievement of Advantage Behavioral Health Systems' mission and strategic initiatives by providing leadership, oversight, evaluation, and management of a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS)-led Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT). Assures tasks are completed, schedules are maintained, and programmatic requirements are met in accordance with applicable oversight and funding entities, including DBHDD, CMS, ASO, and CARF. Provides oversight and monitoring of daily operations, staffing, training, and outcomes, and supports development and monitoring of programmatic and financial performance. Ensure staff are appropriately trained and current in required training.
Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards :
- Provides leadership, supervision, and planning for assigned CPS and other staff.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, licensing, and operating standards.
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and workflows consistent with OBOT and MOUD best practices.
- Continuously evaluates service delivery effectiveness in meeting the needs of individuals served.
- Monitors operations, staffing patterns, schedules, and service capacity to ensure accessibility and continuity of care.
- Oversee PROUD service delivery and coordination.
- Ensures effective integration of Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) with peer recovery support, counseling, and medical services.
- Collaborates with medical providers, nursing staff, behavioral health clinicians, and external partners to support coordinated, whole-person care.
- Monitors screening, admissions, referrals, engagement, retention, discharges, and transitions of care.
- Manages human resources and employee relations functions.
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision, evaluation, and discipline of staff in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Communicates clear job expectations and performance standards.
- Conducts regular supervision, team meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Identifies training needs and ensures staff maintain required credentials and competencies related to peer support, SUDs, MOUD, documentation, and compliance.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with internal departments, community partners, referral sources, and medical providers.
- May represents Advantage and PROUD in community meetings, coalitions, and stakeholder initiatives.
- Works to prevent duplication of services and improve access to care.
- Oversees quality assurance, data collection, and performance monitoring.
- Reviews documentation and chart audits to ensure compliance with agency, payer, and regulatory standards.
- Collects and reviews programmatic and outcome data related to access, engagement, and recovery outcomes.
- Utilizes data to guide quality improvement efforts and workflow development.
- Oversee fiscal and operational performance with support from Director of Addictive Disease
- Monitors expenditures relative to budget expectations and identifies opportunities for efficiency.
- Assists with development and monitoring of programmatic and financial outcome reports.
- Promotes a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and peer-driven culture.
- Models peer support values, ethical standards, and professional boundaries.

Minimum Qualifications :
Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) credential required and maintained in good standing. Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or similar). Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to adapt effortlessly in a changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Training and / or education specific to substance use disorders (SUDs). Training toward or interest in obtaining an Addictions Counselor credential. Training, education, or experience utilizing Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) within an OBOT or integrated care model. Experience supervising Certified Peer Specialists or peer-led services. Experience using Netsmart or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
