PV Engineer

Spirent is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our experienced team and help validate system quality and performance for the Landslide product. Landslide is used worldwide by service providers and network equipment manufacturers to test performance, scale and functionality in mobile networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, executing and automating tests designed to ensure system performance and functionality for a wide range of new and existing features. Areas of focus may vary depending on need and will include technologies in the 4G / 5G mobile core, IMS, VoLTE, Vo5G, IP Security, and more.

• A Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science from an accredited institution, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of applicable experience working in a Product Verification, Quality Assurance, System Integration and Test, or similar technical role.
• Basic understanding of interfaces, protocols and devices used in the 4G / 5G mobile network core.
• Familiarity with TCP, UDP and SCTP transport protocols.
• Foundational knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts (e.g., MAC Addresses, IP Addresses, subnetting).
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments to gather logs, run diagnostics and perform basic scripting or automation to aid in troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret system logs, traces, and error messages to diagnose issues across multiple layers (application, transport, network).
• Familiarity with test case creation / execution, issue documentation, and collaboration with development teams to drive resolution.
• Exposure to IMS, VoLTE, Vo5G and IP Security technologies is a plus.
• Experience using Wireshark to diagnose and troubleshoot issues is a plus.

Annualized Salary Wage Range : $85,000 - $104,000

Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
