Principal Learning Consultant, Alpha - $200,000 / year USD

What You Will Be Doing

Developing and training Guides to deliver Alpha's workshops with world-class execution

Authoring Guide Playbooks that outline best practices for facilitation, designing high-impact learning activities, and overcoming obstacles

Delivering consistent, actionable feedback to Guides to enhance student engagement and outcomes

Directly coaching a small student cohort, demonstrating expert mentorship and motivational techniques

What You Won't Be Doing

Creating lesson plans – your Guides support students using adaptive apps; you focus on training them to become exceptional motivators

Compromising expectations – if our mastery standard is 100%, your responsibility is to uphold that benchmark

Running dull training sessions – you will engage Guides through dynamic, high-energy, experiential development

Principal Learning Consultant Key Responsibilities

Develop Guides and students so that every learner in your cohort loves school, achieves learning at 2× speed, and masters life skills. No exceptions.

Basic Requirements

Currently located in or willing to relocate for in-person work at one of the Alpha Campuses (Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA : East Bay (San Francisco), Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles)

Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a closely related field.

Proven track record of designing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives.

Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities with the ability to develop, manage, and inspire high-performing teams.

Experience working directly with youth (ages 5-18) in an educational or developmental setting.

Proficiency in analyzing data and leveraging metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD / hour, which equates to $200,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
