Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the department of Student Union as an Audiovisual Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2025.

The Audiovisual Assistant will provide inventory, assembly, operations, and disassembly of audiovisual equipment for events in the Russell Union, Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, Williams Center, and around campus as needed. They'll also monitor the inventory of all sound, lighting, and visual equipment.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

• Provides consistent and high level of customer service to all customers and guests;
• Reads & reviews daily operations report
• Implements the required setups for daily events in the Russell Union, Nessmith-Lane Center, Williams Center, and associated facilities
• Setups and takedowns equipment associated with events
• Completes required event / program documentation
• Maintains cleanliness and order of all equipment in all storage rooms
• Assists with custodial as needed
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment
• Attend staff meetings as needed

Monday - Saturday, 8 AM - 10 PM
