Maintenance Technician II

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
• Maintain positive working relationships across all Operations facilities.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49 lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

The work environment involves wearing a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots, with physical demands such as reaching arms above the head, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps / ladders, and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs of equipment. Regular movement between departments and properties is required, including walking 6 to 12 miles per day. Work includes fluctuating temperatures and involves typing at a computer or standing desk for 1-2 hours per day.
